Terms of Use

Please read these terms carefully before using PDFCrush. By using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Last updated: 19 May 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PDFCrush ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PDFCrush provides free, browser-based tools for working with PDF and document files — including compression, merging, splitting, converting, editing, signing, watermarking, OCR, and more. All file processing runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded to our servers.

The Service is provided free of charge, with no accounts, subscriptions, or payments required.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: • Upload or process files containing malware, viruses, or other malicious code • Process files that infringe third-party intellectual property rights • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or infrastructure • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission • Re-sell, redistribute, or misrepresent the Service without a written agreement from PDFCrush

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of access.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of PDFCrush and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without prior written consent.

You retain all rights to files you process using the Service. Because all processing happens locally in your browser, we never receive or store your files, and no licence to your file content is granted to us.

5. Fair Use

PDFCrush is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising. We reserve the right to apply rate limits or restrict access to users who abuse the Service through automated bulk processing, scraping, or other non-human usage patterns that place excessive load on our infrastructure.

6. No Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that processed files will be identical to originals in all respects.

As all processing runs in your browser, results may vary depending on your device, browser version, and the complexity of your files.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PDFCrush shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Because files are processed locally and never transmitted to us, we are not liable for any data loss that occurs on your device during or after processing.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PDFCrush and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Advertising

PDFCrush displays non-intrusive advertisements to support the free service. By using the Service, you acknowledge that ads may be shown. We select advertising partners that comply with applicable privacy laws. Ad display does not affect the functionality of any tool.

10. Termination

We may restrict or terminate access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 4, 6, 7, and 8 survive termination.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from your use of the Service shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India, in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and other applicable Indian laws.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
